Meeting of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan with the OSCE Secretary-General

On 24 of July 2019 in Vienna the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Muzaffar Huseinzoda has met with the OSCE Secretary-General Mr. Thomas Greminger.

The Secretary-General congratulated Tajikistan Delegation on the successful completion of its Chairmanship of the OSCE Forum for Security Co-operation and welcomed the efforts of Tajikistan in enriching and promoting comprehensive program of the Forum

The Deputy Minister conveyed his gratitude to the Secretariat for their support during the Tajikistan`s Chairmanship and expressed confidence that the steps taken by our country will further contribute to the confidence building measures and strengthening peace and security in the OSCE area.

Meeting of Deputy Foreign Minister of Tajikistan with Deputy Foreign Minister of Austria

On 24 July 2019 in Vienna the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Mr. Muzaffar Huseinzoda has met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Austria Mr. Helmut Tichy.

During the meeting, the counterparts discussed the current state and prospects of the development of cooperation between Tajikistan and Austria in the political, trade, economic, investment and cultural fields, as well as in the sphere of security. The two sides have expressed interest in further strengthening the friendly relations between the countries.

The sides also exchanged views on interaction within international organizations and strengthening cooperation mechanisms in the areas of mutual interest.

Tajikistan summarized its Chairmanship of the OSCE Forum for Security Co-operation

On 24 July 2019 the closing session of the plenary meeting of the OSCE Forum for Security Co-operation (FSC) has been held in Vienna under the Chairmanship of the Republic of Tajikistan. The meeting was attended by Mr. Muzaffar Huseinzoda, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.

In his statement the Tajik Deputy Foreign Minister has summarized the initial outcomes of Tajikistan’s Chairmanship in the FSC - one of the OSCE’s two main regular decision-making bodies - noting that the chairmanship has been a significant milestone and productive experience in Tajikistan’s foreign policy.
