Bilateral Relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Slovak republic
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Slovak Republic were established on February 4, 1993. Since 15th May, 2007 Embassy of the Slovak Republic was accredited to the Republic of Tajikistan (with residence in Tashkent).
On November 26, 2014 the first Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Slovak Republic (with residence in Vienna) presented his letter of Credence to the President of Slovakia and Embassy of Tajikistan was accredited in this country.
Political Relations, Visits
On March 5, 2014 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojidin Aslov received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic Pavol Ivan on the occasion of presenting copies of their Credentials.
On October 23, 2014 in Bratislava the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Slovak Republic (with residence in Vienna) presented copies of his Credentials to State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Peter Burian.
On November 20, 2014 the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Nizomiddin Zohidi held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to the Republic of Tajikistan Pavol Ivan.
On November 26, 2014 in Bratislava Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Slovak Republic (with residence in Vienna) presented his Letters of Credence to the President of the Slovak Republic Andrej Kiska.
On October 3, 2015 in New York on the sidelines of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly the Tajik Foreign Minister Sirodjidin Aslov held talks with the Deputy Prime-Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia Miroslav Laychak.
On November 4, 2016, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Muzaffar Huseinzoda held a meeting with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Mr. Lukas Parizek, who arrived in Dushanbe to participate in the inter-ministerial political consultations between Tajikistan and Slovakia.
On May 18, 2017 in Brussels the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Aslov met with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Lukáš Parízek. Mr. Sirodjidin Aslov and Mr. Lukáš Parízek expressed interest in strengthening of cooperation between the two countries in the spheres of trade and economy, transport, energy, agriculture, health, education and culture. In this context, the parties highly commended the role of interdepartmental political consultations and business round table of the two countries, which took place in November 2016 in Dushanbe.
3-6 June 2017 – visit of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the, Slovakia Republic to the Republic of Tajikistan (with residence in Tashkent) to the Sughd region for participation in the "Visegrad 4" Film Festival.

- For 2006 - 4.7 million US dollars;
- For 2007 - 3.4 million US dollars;
- For 2008 - 4.7 million US dollars;
- For 2009 - 1.1 million US dollars;
- For 2012 - 50.7 thousand US dollars;
- For 2015 – 1232.5 thousand US dollars.
- For 2016 this indicator reached 424.00 thousand USD (export – 3,2 thousand US, import – 420,8 thousand USD).
