Celebration of International Day of Nawruz in Vienna

On March 13, 2019 the solemn celebration of the International Day of "Nawruz” was initiated by the Permanent Missions of Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan in the building of the United Nations Office at Vienna.

Representatives from Austrian governmental bodies, Vienna diplomatic corps, international organizations and other guests took part at this event.

Permanent Mission of Tajikistan along with representatives of other countries organized a cultural corner with attractive Nawruz items and decorations with clothes, national handicrafts, such as "suzani", "gulduzi" and others. At Tajikistan corner various national Tajik food, dry fruits and snacks were served.
