On June 12, 2019, in Hofburg, Vienna the Republic of Tajikistan has chaired the Eighth Annual Discussion on the OSCE Participating States' implementation of the Code of Conduct on politico-military aspects of security.

This event, which was an integral part of the program of Tajikistan Chairmanship of the OSCE Forum for Security Co-operation Forum (FSC), was conducted in continuation of the previous seven discussions held under the FSC auspices since 2012.

Addressing the opening session of the Annual Discussion, the FSC Chairperson and the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the OSCE Mr. Idibek Kalandar has noted that the main task of the current meeting is to maintain the work aimed at further development of norms and commitments of the interstate relations in the politico-military sphere guided by the Helsinki Final Act (1975), the Charter of Paris for a New Europe (1990) and the Helsinki Document (1992).

In this regard, Ambassador Kalandar emphasized that Tajikistan attaches great importance to the Code’s proper implementation, and added that the country actively participates in the Annual Military Information Exchange.
