Today, a new, grand building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs which comprises 8 floors was opened with the participation of the President of the country Emomali Rahmon.
The Head of State Emomali Rahmon and heads and veterans of diplomatic corps of Tajikistan planted two 50-year-old Californian redwoods at the courtyard of the new building. These immense trees, which live till 3 thousand years and more, have been planted with hopes and prayers for durability and long life of the independent Tajikistan.
The Head of State Emomali Rahmon got acquainted with working conditions created in this building and highly appraised the result of works of its builders and technicians. This building has all working conditions for the ministry’s officers, reception of foreign guests, meetings, conferences and other events.
As it was mentioned, this building has been constructed during the 2,5 years at the expense of almost 73 million TJS from special funds of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including revenues of consular offices, without use of budgetary means.
In the big hall of the new building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which has 260 seats available, the Head of State Emomali Rahmon held a useful and open talk with leadership and officers of this ministry, heads of embassies and other diplomatic missions of Tajikistan to foreign countries and international organizations, veterans of the sphere and in general the diplomatic corps of the country and expressed interesting views on the fruitful implementation of the foreign policy of state.
