Today, the President of the country Emomali Rahmon received credentials from newly appointed ambassadors of 9 countries of the world to Tajikistan.The ambassadors of Austria Wolfgang Banyai, Norway Ole Johan Bornoy, Spain Manuel Larrocha Parada, Sweden Ake Peterson, Egypt Mahmud Jamil Ahmad Eldeeb, Oman Sheikh Yahya ibn Abdullah ibn Salim Al-Fanna, Indonesia Foster Gultom, Ethiopia Mulatu Teshome and Angola Joachim Augusto de Lemusha presented their credentials to the Head of Tajik state.The President of the country Emomali Rahmon during his talk with new ambassadors said that cooperation with all countries of the world and keeping pace with process of progress of the world community is very important and expressed confidence that they will take every effort for strengthening and enhancing the relations of their countries with Tajikistan.The ambassadors in their turn also stressed that they will make their best to develop cooperation with Tajikistan.

The meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Hamrokhon Zarifi with the Prince Karim Aga Khan IV was held in February 12 in Paris. During the meeting both sides discussed issues of development cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN). The parties exchanged opinions concerning activities of the Representation of AKDN in Tajikistan and a course of implementation of projects in the field of education, health and culture.NIAT "Khovar” has been reported at the Department of Information, Press, Analysis and Foreign Policy Planning of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.

H.Zarifi met with the leadership of the “Total” oil and gas company

On 11 February 2013 within the framework of a working visit to Paris the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Hamrokhon Zarifi met with the leadership of the "Total” oil and gas company – Vice President on Business Development Strategy Olivier de Langavant, Vice President on New Contracts and Share Governing Herve Chagnoux, Vice President Philippe Hergaux and Director on Research and Production Marc Blaizot. The meeting was aimed at the discussion of issues of establishment of cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and "Total” in the sphere of extraction and processing of oil and gas resources.At the beginning of the conversation the Minister of Foreign Affairs informed his interlocutors about the investment climate and the state of mineral and raw-material sphere of the country. Tajik Foreign Minister and the UNESCO Director-General held talks

In February 11, 2013 in Paris the meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Hamrokhon Zarifi has been held with the UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova. During the talk the sides exchanged views regarding the state and further prospects of fruitful development of cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and UNESCO.The Minister of Foreign Affairs Hamrokhon Zarifi handed to the UNESCO Director-General the personal message of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, in which the Government of Tajikistan invites UNESCO to be the chief coordinator of organization of the 3rd Pamir highland international geophysical expedition for 2013-2018.
