TYPE OF VISAS:

Diplomatic visas are issued to:

• Head of Sates and Governments of the foreign countries;
• Members of official foreign delegations;
• Diplomatic agents of diplomatic representatives and consular officials of consular establishments;
• Employees of Foreign Ministries, foreign diplomatic and consular couriers;
• Employees of representations of the international organizations, whom Tajikistan admits their diplomatic status;
• Other persons who are eligible to be issued diplomatic visa;
• Family members of the listed persons, having diplomatic passports.

Business official visas are issued to:

• Members of official foreign delegations;
• Administrative-technical and attendants employees of diplomatic representatives;
• Consular employees and workers of the attendants of consular establishments of the foreign states;
• Staff members of international organization's representations in Tajikistan;
• Persons carrying diplomatic mail, in the absence of a diplomatic passport;
• Honorable Consuls of Tajikistan abroad;
• Family members of above listed persons.

Investment visas are issued to:

• Heads of foreign firms and companies going to Tajikistan and also being in Tajikistan, who make valuable investment to economy of Tajikistan;
• Representatives of administrative part of foreign firms and companies working in Tajikistan or having practicable plans on developments business projects;
• Family members of above listed persons.

Business visas are issued to:

• Foreign citizens who are going to Tajikistan or are in Tajikistan with the business purposes (participation in business negotiations, meetings, symposiums, forums, conferences, tenders, conclusion of contracts, creation of joint ventures, studying Tajik market, participation in auctions, exhibitions and fairs, rendering of advisory and auditor services and other relevant categories).

Work/Labor visas are issued to:

• Foreign citizens who are going to Tajikistan to work, including, according to international contracts and agreements;
• Family members of above listed persons.

Tourist visas are issued to:

• Foreign citizen or a group of foreign citizens travelling to Tajikistan as a tourist, privately or by the organized tourist group.

Educational academic visas are issued to:

• Foreign citizens who are studying in the educational institutions of Tajikistan;
• Post-graduate students;
• Persons who are working for academic degree;
• Family members of above listed persons.

Educational visas are issued to:

• Foreign citizens who are going to Tajikistan or are in Tajikistan for studying, on an educational practice and training;
• Persons who are going to Tajikistan to join educational institution of Tajikistan;
• Persons who are going to Tajikistan to temporarily attend the language learning courses;
• Family members of the above listed persons.

Free economic zone visas are issued to:

• Foreign citizens-investors who are going to Tajikistan for the realization of labour and enterprise activity in the territory of Free Economic Zones.

Private visas are issued to:

• Foreign citizens who are going to Tajikistan visiting relatives or friends;
• Foreign citizens who are going to Tajikistan on a vacation, for treatment or with the other purposes of private character.

The driver’s visas are issued to:

• Drivers of the vehicles transporting a cargo and passengers.

Visas for the crew of aircrafts are issued to:

• Pilots, navigators, engineers, stewards and other members of aircrafts crew.

Mass media visas are issued to:

• Correspondents, operators, journalists and other employees of foreign mass media;
• Family members of the above listed persons.

Spouse of Tajikistan citizen visas are issued to:

• Those foreigners who have married citizens of Republic of Tajikistan, and also to their children who have been adopted by them.

Visas for sportsmen and creative groups are issued to:

• Foreign citizens who are coming to Tajikistan for the international competitions, trainings, cultural actions and rehearsals. Family members of the above listed persons.

Missionary visas are issued to:

• Foreigners-employees of the religious organizations who are carrying out or intending to carry out activity in Tajikistan.

Humanitarian visas are issued to:

• Foreign citizens who are going to Tajikistan with the purpose of delivery or support of cargoes of the humanitarian aids.

Visas for the commercial activities are issued to:

• Foreign citizens who are engaged in commercial activities.
